Alexander was the son of Cornelius Alexander Taylor and Sarah Ann Sally Walker. Alex married first Melvinia Lavinia "Viney" Hopkins, in 1862 but there is no record of the marriage. They had 6 children that I know of who went by the Hopkins name. Second he married Amelia Permila Hubbard-Gambrel, 11 Aug 1885 in Knox Co KY. Alex was shot and killed in 1888 by Mariater Artor North.
